Yeezy took the stage at last night's BET Honors ceremony, and his comments about his own wife are shocking even by Kanye standards:
Addressing claims that Kim only dates wealthy men, Kanye remarked, "My wife has dated broke black dudes!"
Yes, Kanye capped off a month of pure Kanye moments by (jokingly) dissing his own wife.
She seemed to be amused, so we guess it went down better than Kanye's comments about Kylie Jenner and Tyga being in love.
After warming up the crowd with a good gag (and not the kind we saw in Kim's sex tape), 'Ye switched gears and told an affecting story about Kim's father, Robert Kardashian, finding a racial slur spray-painted on the side of his Bentley.
It was an emotional moment, and proof that Kanye can pay tribute to North West without the help of auto-tune of Paul McCartney.
We're happy to give credit where it's due, and Kanye delivered a humorous, stirring speech that was fully-deserving of the standing ovation he received at the end.
Of course, that doesn't mean we believe for a second that Kim would've married him if he were poor. We ain't sayin' she's a golddigger, but...
