Here is a sentence we didn't think we'd ever be writing:
Plastic Jesus is our new hero.
That’s the name of an artist in Los Angeles who has plastered seven street signs around the city that read “No Kardashian Parking Anytime.”
The signs, of course, are aren’t sanctioned by anyone associated with the City of Los Angeles and/or legally binding in any way, shape or form.
But the LAPD tells The Hollywood Reporter that no one has filed any complaints just yet about the hilarious items.
Plastic Jesus himself tells that publication that he was motivated to make the signs after seeing all the paparazzi attention surrounding one of the Kardashian sisters on a local street.
"I guarantee that same number of paparazzi was far greater than any number of photographers chasing real news,” he says, adding:
"The Kardashian family has become ingrained in our culture. We’ve allowed mainstream media to become so profit-driven, we are sacrificing genuine news stories to satiate our vapid celebrity obsessions.”
Plastic Jesus does admit that it's the fault of the viewers that watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online and the fault of people who actually follow the Kylie Jenner or Kendall Jenner on Instagram.
These talent-free individuals would not be famous if so many people out there didn't care about their everyday activities and actions.
“Without us, there would be no market for the Kardashians. We are equally, if not more so, to blame,” he tells The Hollywood Reporter.
Plastic Jesus concluded by saying the same folks who will be "tagging these photos on social are the same people who will be buying In Touch at the supermarket later this week."
It's very sad, but very true.
