According to a new report, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are coming to grips with the fact that they may not be able to conceive a second child.
The reality star has been open about her difficulty getting pregnant with a sibling for North West, even joking during a recent Keeping Up with a Kardashians episode that she and West have sex "500 times a day."
But things are now turning serious for the famous twosome.
"Kim has been undergoing IVF," a source says to Us Weekly. "It's causing problems with her body."
Kardashian gave birth to North in June of 2013, delivering a few weeks early in what insiders have described as a difficult labor.
Those who watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians online saw last month that the star had to undergo a procedure to "clear something out of [her] uterus."
Meanwhile, on the Season 10 finale this Sunday, Kim will reveal that an implanted embryo did not take.
So if Kim cannot get pregnant naturally?
"They will do surrogacy over adoption," writes Us Weekly in regard to alternative baby plans.
An earlier report actually claimed Kim might use Kourtney Kardashian as a surrogate mother, but that seems very hard to believe.
"I would like to hold out a little bit longer, and still try," Kim recently told Matt Lauer on Today about getting pregnant. "I still have hope, so I'm just going to keep on trying. Never say never."
