Back in May, Kim Kardashian published a book of selfies - a move that's been described by some as the ultimate vanity project.
Contrary to popular belief, not everything the Kardashian-Jenner clan touches turns to gold, as evidenced by the sci-fi novel that Kendall and Kylie Jenner "wrote" last year.
There's a good chance you didn't hear about that book, because it flopped right out of the gate, and the KJs stopped even trying to promote it after just a couple weeks.
Kim hasn't been quite so quick to give up, as she's been promoting Selfless at signings and on social media pretty much non-stop.
Despite her best efforts, however, very few of Kim's 40 million Instagram followers have picked up the reality star's 450-page ode to herself.
More specifically, less than 1% of them bought the book. We'll spare you the math: Selfish has only sold about 32,000 copies after three months in stores.
For those of you not in the publishing business - that's a colossal flop.
Sure, you'd have cause for celebration if your self-published first novel sold 32,000 copies, but this was a major release with an A-list celebrity and relentless marketing campaign behind it.
To put Kim's failure in perspective, books by her fellow reality star Lauren Conrad have sold over 500,000 copies in a matter of months.
But hey, at least Kim can console herself with the knowledge that she outsold Kendall and Kylie.
Their ridiculously-titled Rebels: City of Indra only sold about 13,000 copies in the same timeframe.
