I Am Cait continues to showcase the serious and lighter aspects of Caitlyn Jenner's transition into her new life, and the journey continues to evolve.
Her family has a few things to say about it this week, though. Such as?
Sunday on I Am Cait Season 1 Episode 4, Jenner was invited by Candis Cayne, her friend and mentor, to enjoy her first all-girls sleepover.
We’ve all heard the rumors about Candis Cayne dating Caitlyn Jenner by now, and it sure looked like the former was interested this week.
There's definitely chemistry there, and with Caitlyn still attracted to women, it stands to reason that these two could be more than friends.
Regardless, the main takeaway is that Candis is great support system for Caitlyn, having transitioned and coped with the intense fallout.
Meanwhile, Jenner continued to educate herself, on top of everyone else she can, about transgender issues and the community at large.
Advocate Kate Bornstein, and Chaz Bono - Cher's son who was born Chastity, a female - were two prominent figures Caitlyn got to meet.
They met with trans teens, and their parents, who spoke to the group expressing unabashed support for their kids. It was very touching.
If only Keeping Up with the Kardashians (if you will) were that easy.
Cait's comments in Vanity Fair about her marriage to Kris Jenner and on the “distraction” of kids led to being called out by Kim and Khloe.
“I thought the Vanity Fair article was so fair, especially Kris’ part,” Caitlyn laments, though she acknowledges that others do not agree.
She hears them out, and Khloe Kardashian, never one to mince words, certainly does not do so here, laying into her for her comments.
Caitlyn says it’s misinterpreted, and that she meant to convey that family, in general, distracted her from embracing her true identity.
“We don’t think that (your transition) entails you speaking negatively about my mom,” Khloe responds. “Let’s focus on the cause.”
Clearly stung by that remark (and living in Kris' shadow for two decades plus), Caitlyn says: “Do you want me to hide? I’m sick of that.”
Lots of tension to be sure, but they came to an understanding ... for now.
Kim Kardashian then quotes a line about the duo’s marriage and how Cait and Kris might still be together if Kris could've handled this.
“You’ve got the fame, but you’re losing your family,” Kim says forcefully.
“You look amazing, it’s your time, but you don’t have to bash us on the way up,” she adds, and Caitlyn adamantly denies she was doing so.
“I just want everyone to be happy. I love, love, love my kids,” she says, defending her words but also grasping Kim and Khloe's points.
