Kim Kardashian on Taylor Swift: Hey, No Shade Here!

While the Internet continues to choose a side in the ongoing Kim Kardashian-Taylor Swift feud, Kim Kardashian would like to make something clear:

She's on Team Swift.

Wait... what? HUH?

Over the summer, of course, Kardashian dropped a Snapchat video that seemed to call Swift out as a liar.

It featured a phone conversation between Swift and Kanye West.

The topic of this conversation? West's single, "Famous," specifically lyrics in the single that referenced Swift.

For example, Kanye raps at one point in that song that he may still "have sex" with Swift, while also calling her a "bitch" that he "made famous."

When the track first went public, Swift acted upset and surprised, as if she had no idea West would slam her in such fashion.

But the following call, released by Kardashian, makes it look as if Kanye ran the lyrics by Swift a long time ago:

A few weeks later, Kim filmed herself lip-syncing to "Famous," sharing a video in which she recites the line about how her husband might still be able to sleep with Swift.

Here's a look at that footage:

Clearly, Kardashian was throwing a bunch of shade at Swift here, right?

Obviously, she was taking pleasure in proving that Swift can be manipulative and fake and not nearly as innocent as she pretends to be.

But this was not the case, Kim tells the new issue of Wonderland.

"I never publicly talk bad about people. I still don't feel like I have," she tells the magazine, adding:

"I'm being honest. I'm a fan. I like her music. There was no shade."

Come on now, Kim. That's just silly. Who's being the fake liar now?

Don't hide behind the semantics that you didn't "talk bad" about Swift in public, as if not blatantly insulting her by name makes any real difference in this case.

If anything, it makes you look worse.

Own your point of view. Own your shade. Be a woman.

Kim Kardashian for Wonderland

Kim went on to tell Wonderland that "girls in [Swift's] squad hit me up on text" after the incident.

To slam her? To praise her?

Kim wouldn't elaborate. She wouldn't name names and she wouldn't explain the substance of these text messages.

"I'm not petty," she says.

No, you're just trying to have it every which way in this feud.

Was Kardashian right to record the conversation between West and Swift? We'll leave that up to our readers to debate.

But she's definitely being lame in this interview to allege that she's all innocent and well-meaning and has no ill will toward Swift in any way.

Isn't that the sort of phony front about Swift that Kim was trying to expose when releasing the phone call above?

Back when Kim first threw shade at Swift (because that is what happened), Taylor responded on Instagram.

She asked to be "excluded from this narrative" and pointed out that even the conversation above does NOT depict Kanye running the most damning lyric by her, the one in which he calls her a "bitch."

It's true. This fact was somehow glossed over at the time.

a swift reply

Wonderland hits newsstands in U.K. this Friday and in the U.S. the first week of October.

You can read more from Kim's interview at that time.
