Kim Kardashian is a ridiculous human being, and that's an undeniable fact.

As sure as the sun will rise, as sure as Kanye West will embarrass himself, Kim Kardashian will be ridiculous. That's just the way it is.

But this week, she just may have topped herself.

You might have tried to block this out, and we wouldn't blame you if you did, but Kim actually said that she was considering voting for Donald Trump.

The disappointment and shame cuts like a knife, doesn't it?

Specifically, Kim said that she's "on the fence" about which candidate she'll vote for after having "a long political call" with Caitlyn Jenner.

And yes, the fact that Caitlyn Jenner may have endorsed Trump hard enough to convince Kim is mind-blowing and heartbreaking and all kinds of other very bad things, but let's soldier on.

So Kim made that little statement, and everyone got so mad at her.

Mad enough, apparently, for Kim to take it all back.

She took to her handy ol' app to set the record straight.

"There was a point," she explains, "when I wasn't 100% sure I was even going to vote in this election; I didn't want to vote blindly."

So far, so dumb, Kim.

"But I also thought about how not voting would mean that I wasn't making my voice heard, so I decided to talk to my closest friends and family who I love and trust, to have an open conversation about politics," she continues.

"I had a long conversation with Caitlyn, who has always been open about her political views, and she encouraged me to do my research before making my decision and then vote for the candidate whose policies aligned with the things that matter most to me."

Did Kim, a grown adult person, actually need someone to explain that to her? Bless her heart.

"I thought about the things that are so important to me that they outweigh everything else," she writes, "such as gun control and protecting women's rights to safe and legal abortion."

We'd go into a big diatribe about how maybe Kim also should have considered that one candidate is an actual viable choice for president and the other is a racist, homophobic jackass, but it seems like she came around all by herself.

As she explains, "I found that without a doubt, I stand with Hillary. I'm with her. I believe Hillary will best represent our country and is the most qualified for the job."

Get her a cookie, somebody, she did it!

Unfortunately, Kim's not out of these stupid woods yet, because she couldn't help but add that "I believe that both candidates have the intention of making the country a safer and stronger place for every American, they just have different ideas about how we get there."

OK, honey. Take a nap. That's enough now.
