Lena Dunham is never one to hold back with an opinion.

The Girls writer, producer and creator is one of the more outspoken celebrities in Hollywood and she has a point to make when it comes to Kim Kardashian getting robbed at gunpoint in Paris this week.

Are you ready to hear it?

Speaking on Wednesday to Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club, Dunham referred to the act perpetrated against Kardashian as something that was "so awful."

The only thing worse, in a manner of speaking?

Anyone making a quip at Kim's expense this week.

"What I really hate about this Kim thing is that people are feeling so much license to make jokes," the 30-year-old star says. "That's a human being."

It's a similar point to the one James Corden made so clearly in a Tweet just hours after news of the robbery broke.

It's true.

Think what you want about Kim Kardashian (any regular reader of The Hollywood Gossip knows that we have quite a few issues with the star), but do not dare to think that she somehow deserved this to happen to her.

Don't make light of the situation.

Kardashian was bound and gagged by armed assailants in France early Monday morning.

She begged for her life, telling the men that she had two little kids at home, and multiple sources have said Kardashian believed she was going to be raped.

Can you possibly imagine being in that kind of situation?!?

"You may not agree with everything she does, but that's a woman and a mother and a daughter who just went through something so heinous," Dunham added in the interview.

"So, my heart is with Kim."

Amen, Lena. Preach on!

According to TMZ insiders, Kardashian doesn't take the blame for this horrible crime or anything.

But she does acknowledge that flaunting her wealth as often as she has done on social media isn't a great idea.

Sources tell the website that Kim will take a few weeks off from posting at all... and when she does return to Twitter and/or Instagram, it will be with a far more subdued presence.

Don't expect her to share photos of her jewelry anymore or even promote her fashion line as often.

"Material things mean nothing," she has allegedly told friends behind the scenes since the robbery took place, finally realizing:

"It's not all about the money. It's not worth it."

An investigation remains ongoing.

Some are wondering whether the robbery was an inside job, others are pointing at the concierge, who was tied up with Kim in the bathroom of her apartment.

He was especially calm under such duress, insiders claim, and he was eventually left unharmed in the lobby. Might he have been in on the whole thing?

Elsewhere in her interview, Dunham touches on controversial remarks she made this summer about Odell Beckham Jr.

"It seemed like I was accusing him of some kind of misogyny," she said, adding that she inadvertently added to negative stereotypes and saying:

"It was a great lesson to me in how your humor can be misconstrued. In the written word, it did not translate... I apologized immediately, I apologized to him privately."
