It's been more than a week since Kanye West was hospitalized following a psychiatric breakdown.
At the time, little was known about the circumstances that led to the hospitalization, but recently, a picture has begun to emerge of a deeply troubled man calling out for help in destructive fashion.
The first Kanye 911 call recording revealed that the rapper had not, as previously reported, attacked a member of his personal trainer's staff.
That doesn't mean, however, that those who requested the authorities help in the matter were not concerned for the safety of those around West.
Radar Online has obtained a second 911 call which reveals that one of Kanye's doctors was worried that West could present a danger to others.
Says the unidentified man speaking with a 911 operator:
“I’m one of his doctors. I’m just calling from my cell phone."
“Don’t let him get any weapons," the dispatcher warns.
"If anything changes, if he becomes physically combative between now and when the police and paramedics get there, call 911.”
No one was harmed in the tense moments before West was subdued, but clearly those who knew him best believed that it was a possibility.
Earlier this week, after a tumultuous period, West was released from the hospital, but his road to recovery has only just begun.
For the second time in two months, the Kardashian family is on lockdown, as Kim and company eschew interviews and press events.
Their only focus right now is on Kanye's health.
Sources say he was permitted to leave the hospital only on the condition that he be surrounded by medical staff trained to assist him.
Moreover, West was discharged on the condition that he remain in an environment where his family can be protected in the event of a breakdown.
A source close to the Kardashian family tells Radar: “Kanye is only leaving under the condition he will be strictly monitored by a team of nurses.”
However, “He is out and at home."
His family doesn't expect any sort of problem, but they have gone to great lengths to protect West's privacy during this difficult time.
Of course, that's never easy.
As for his devoted wife?
“Kim isn’t responding to anyone,” the insider says, adding that it's been a rough few months for her. “She has gone quiet.”
