Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian wore a revealing dress at a red carpet event.
And we mean revealing by the standards of Kim Kardashian, a woman who we see naked so often that when a week goes by without a nude selfie, we seriously consider requesting a police welfare check.
Obviously, the dress made quite an impression on social media.
But it seems one UK fashion brand was a bit too enamored with Kim's revealing look.
According to Mrs. Kardashian-West, a company called Missguided has been selling knock-off versions of her dress online.
And Kim says the brand -- which sounds a big like the designer of Michael Scott's feminine power suit on that classic episode of The Office -- has been doing this for quite some time.
"It's devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their own original ideas," Kim wrote in a lengthy social media tirade.
"I've watched these companies profit off my husband's work for years and now that it's also affecting designers who have been so generous to give me access to their beautiful works, I can no longer sit silent."
Now, Kim is putting her money where her mouth is.
According to E! News, she's filed a $10 million lawsuit against Missguided.
Obviously, Kim doesn't need the cash.
We're guessing this is just her way of putting her foot down with a hardcore cease and desist.
But is she standing up for artistic freedom, or is she coming down too hard on a small independent business?
This is the internet in 2019, so you can find plenty of voices on both sides of the debate.
Interestingly, this isn't Kim's first fashion-related controversy in recent days.
Earlier this week, Kardashian stood up for Karl Lagerfeld when then late fashion icon was criticized for some of his more controversial comments.
Like her husband, of course, Kim considers fashion her true calling.
But unfortunately, it looks like she might also be picking up on Kanye's tendency to respond to every situation with seething outrage.
