Sure, the birth of a royal baby is exciting, and all ... even if it is named Archie.
But for our money, on this side of the pond, it doesn't get any bigger than the arrival of a new Kardashian!
As you probably already know, Kim Kardashian is expecting a fourth child via surrogate.
As with the last time that Kim and Kanye employed the services of a surrogate, the details are being kept under wraps, mainly out of consideration for the woman who's carrying their child.
But the members of the Kard clan aren't great about keeping secrets, so it should come as no surprise that Kourtney offered an update on her sister's forthcoming bundle of joy during a recent appearance on Ellen.
“My mom doesn’t even know this but Kim’s surrogate went into labor,” Kourtney reveals to a shocked Kris Jenner.
“So she’s at the hospital.”
“No! What are we doing sitting here? C’mon Ellen, let’s go!” Kris replied.
Ellen posted the clip to her Instagram page, along with some words of congratulations to Kim and Kanye.
"I surprised @KrisJenner with 6 of her grandchildren," the host captioned the clip.
"Then I surprised her with one more. Sending love to you, @KimKardashian and Kanye!"
Earlier this week, future lawyer Kim shot down rumors that the baby had already arrived, tweeting:
“Wait just saw news our baby boy came but that’s not true!” she tweeted.
“It’s Met Monday, I’m in NYC. I would be at the hospital lol.”
Of course, it's not hard to see how fans might have gotten that impression.
Just prior to that tweet, Kim shared an inspirational and heart-warming text message that Kanye had sent her.
“This is your life,” the text read.
“Married with four kids, get people out of jail, cover of Vogue, go to church every week with your family. Dreams come true.”
It seems that at the time, Kim was not yet a mother of four, technically speaking.
But with a new baby on the way in a matter of days, it's not hard to see why Kanye might have been looking to the future.
So basically all we know now is that the Kimye surrogate went into labor sometime on Thursday and the Kardashian-Wests may or may not have welcomed a new addition.
Whatever the case, our sincere congratulations go out to everyone involved, and we can't wait to hear what sort of wacky name Kim and 'Ye picked this time!
