The 2019 Emmy Awards got nearly every category right on Sunday night.
We mostly say this because Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Fleabag dominated the comedy side of things.
Ironically, however, perhaps because there was no host or perhaps because most people on stage just had an off-night... the actual comedy side of things was lacking.
Which is to say: The ceremony was painfully, and at times awkardly, unfunny.
With the exception of when Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner took to the microphone, that is!
The former sex tape star and the professional model didn't just walk the red carpet (compare their fashion choices below!) of the Microsoft Theater at this event.
They actually presented the trophy for Outstanding Competition Series, although we must now wonder whether they regret accepting this invitation.
We ask because Kim and Kendall elicited the biggest laugh of the night after Kim opened their presentation as follows:
"Our family knows first hand how truly compelling television comes from real people just being themselves."
Yes, of course. Keeping Up with the Kardashians is totally known for depicing real people just being themselves.
Just look at how natural and totally not scripted this scene is from the latest episode!
As you can see in the clip above, Kardashian and Jenner were hit with a wave of mockery after Kim uttered the line, with giggling very clearly breaking out across the auditorium.
The reality stars didn't acknowledge it and haven't commented on it yet, either.
But we know they spend a lot of time on social media and, well... they may be hard-pressed to avoid remarks such as the following:
Kendall followed her sister's opening by saying her loved ones tell "their stories unfiltered and unscripted", but she was already being drowned out by all the loud snickering.
For the record, RuPaul's Drag Race won the actual award.
But all anyone is talking about at the moment is the two losers who made this announcement.
