As you're likely aware, Kanye West has been behaving even more erratically than usual in recent weeks.
And if new reports are to be believed, his wife, Kim Kardashian, has had enough.
For several weeks now, insiders have been claiming that the Kardashians fear Kanye is in the midst of a bipolar breakdown.
The rapper and fashion mogul has struggled with mental illness for several years, but has found tremendous success with his combination of medication and therapy.
A role model for many who struggle with bipolar disorder and other mental health issues, Kanye attained billionaire status earlier this year.
In recent weeks, however, the rapper has appeared to struggle mightily.
In July, Kanye announced that he's running for president.
Kim rather mildly expressed her support by retweeting his announcement along with an American flag emoji.
In the weeks since, she's had little to say about her husband or the formation of his "Birthday Party" political party.
Now, insiders are claiming there's a very good reason for Kim's reticence.
It seems she's exhausted by Kanye's recent behavior and is unsure if she can weather another psychotic break.
“Kanye has been doing well for a long time," an insider tells The Jasmine Brand.
"In the past, he has suffered both manic and depressive episodes related to his bipolar disorder. Right now, he is struggling again.”
Rumors of Kim and Kanye getting divorced seem to surface every two to three months.
Nothing ever comes of them, but this time may be different, as the couple is reportedly considering a trial separation while Kanye pursues his political ambitions.
“Kim is concerned, as well as her whole family. It’s super stressful for Kim, because Kanye’s behavior is very unpredictable," says the insider.
"She is worried. The episodes usually last for a few weeks and then things go back to normal. Kim hopes it will be the same this time.”
Kanye recently opened up about his struggles with mental illness in an interview with David Letterman.
Many felt that the symptoms described by the rapper seemed to be consistent with those experienced by patients suffering from paranoid schizophrenia.
“When you’re in this state, you’re hyper-paranoid about everything. Everyone. This is my experience — some people have other experiences," West told the host.
"Everyone now is an actor. Everything is a conspiracy. You see everything. You feel the government is putting chips in your head. You feel you’re being recorded," he continued.
"You feel all of these things. You pretty much don’t trust anyone, and they have this moment where they put you, they handcuff you, they drug you, they put you on the bed, and they separate you from everyone you know.”
Kim has guided Kanye through several such episodes in the past.
But if reports are to be believed, the mother of four may feel that she simply doesn't have the energy or patience for another breakdown.
