It goes like this: recently, Kim and Kanye bought a $20 million mansion in the secluded Hidden Hills neighborhood of LA.
The goal was not only to escape the constant attention from the paparazzi, but also to help Kim distance herself from her family and transition into a much smaller role on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Sources say Kanye has been opposed to Kim's involvement in the reality series from day one and he recently issued her an ultimatum: quit the show, or else.
Unfortunately, Kim's momager has dollar signs in her eyes and refuses to let her daughter walk away from a golden opportunity:
"[Kris] thinks E! would be willing to pay her $10 million for two more seasons," says an insider close to the family.
Naturally, thinking for herself isn't exactly Kim's strong suit, so we imagine being torn between her husband and mother is causing some serious problems for Mrs. Kardashian-West.
