As previously reported, E! will air a special two-part Keeping Up with the Kardashians episode on May 17 and May 18.
It will focus on the Bruce Jenner gender transformation and take viewers inside the famous family's reaction to this surprising news.
A cynic might say this special is completely contrived; that scenes such as Kendall Jenner reacting in proud tears to her father's reveal were actually filmed very recently.
A cynic might say this is all a reaction to the very bad press that has followed members of the family around since Jenner's impressive interview with Diane Sawyer.
But that's not what Kim Kardashian says.
She lied to told Extra yesterday that the special was actually filmed months ago and that it is meant to assist other families and individuals in need.
"Our goal is just to help other families get through something similar, to really support each other, come together, [and to know] that they’re not alone," Kim says.
Kim added that Bruce “can feel the love and he can feel the support [of everyone out there] and that makes him so happy.”
Bruce did tell Sawyer that Kim has been the most supportive of all loved ones.
He said Kim made the same joke upon initially hearing his news as she makes in the above video: that Bruce needs a "glam team," but he best not steal hers.
What do you think? Will you watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online later this month when it turns its full attention to Bruce Jenner?
Or do you see this special as nothing but a PR move orchestrated by the most image-conscious celebrities in Hollywood?
