As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have broken up after nine months of dating.
It’s sad news for Kim and Pete, and the millions who loved them as a couple.
But it’s wonderful news for their number one hater, Kanye West.
From the moment that these two started hooking up, Yeezy was adamantly opposed to their romance.
Now, at this point, Kanye was still openly trying to win Kim back, so he probably would’ve been opposed to any rebound fling that she embarked on.
But the rapper was especially antagonistic toward Pete, labeling him with the pejorative nickname “Skete” (google it if you’re confused) and even beheading an animated likeness of Davidson in a music video.
So it should come as no surprise that Kanye is celebrating the breakup as only he can.
West posted the photo above on Instagram this morning.
It’s currently the only post on Kanye’s page, and it went live at about 4 am LA time, just to give you an idea of how stable Ye is these days.
“SKETE DAVIDSON DEAD AT AGE 28,” reads the headline on Kanye’s fantasy edition of the New York Times.
In case you can’t read it, the caption at the bottom says:
“Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers.”
Cudi is friends with Davidson (and thus an enemy of Kanye’s), and the crowd threw bottles at the rapper when he replaced Kanye as a headliner at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami.
So yeah, Kanye is in ultra-petty mode at the moment, and not surprisingly, Kim is not happy about it.
“Kim won’t stand for this. She is demanding that Kanye take the post down, but he won’t,” a source close to the situation tells the Daily Mail.
“She has been vigorously defending Pete. She’ll never get back together with Kanye over the way he’s treated the people she loves and respects,” the insider adds.
The insider says that Kim is especially disappointed, as she felt that she and Kanye had turned a corner in their co-parenting relationship in recent weeks.
“She has tried incredibly hard to have a good co-parenting situation for the children,” the source says.
“She won’t stand for this type of behavior from him.”
Now, there’s a very good chance that Kanye is of the belief that Kim might take him back now that her relationship with Pete has come to an end.
Just last week, we reported that West appears to be dragging his feet in hopes of delaying the finalization of his divorce from Kim.
Perhaps he knew there was trouble in paradise before word got out to the general public.
And maybe he thought that it would be easier for him to get back together with Kim if they were still legally married.
Obviously anything is possible, but if we had to guess, we’d say the odds are not in Kanye’s favor.
And he’s probably not helping his chances by reminding Kim of just how insanely petty he can be.
